Since SF4 takes place about 10 years before SF3 canon wise it would be a bit hard to put some of these characters in the game. But i would like to personally see Dudley in over Balrog, along with T Hawk, Oro, Elena and maybe Alex.
Agree with most of what you said. Except for the fact that when the Dreamcast launched for a long time it had then record breaking sales. And i love the dreamcast controller. I never got the saturn, i wasn't into gaming back then. I skipped the whole ps1/n64 days. Went from a genesis and re entered with Dreamcast.
You're right on the money with it though. Nostalgia is the big factor in this list. And this guy is obviously a pretty big Nintendo guy. You'd think you'd see some more diversity in his list as far as games spanning multiple consoles. Most of them are SNES and NES games with a few sprinkled PC and PS games. And 1 360 game.

I gently weep everytime someone mentions the Dreamcast. Still to this very day my favorite console. Like the article stated it had games in every genre under the sun. It really expanded my gaming horizons if you will and brought me back into video games. Hell i remember bringing my Dreamcast over to my friends house and staying up all night playing NFL and NBA2k1/2 and playing Soul Calibur and a slew of bizarre capcom fighting games.

There was 2 fps's Doom and Deus Ex. It says it was the most revolutionary FPS (which i agree with) but only ranked 58th i believe. I agree with alot of the selections but the placements are terrible. Sonic 2 at 78? Wow.
1: Really low sales overall means devs will be hesitant on releasing games on the console. But every console that has "failed" commercially all have their own catalog of good games. Except maybe the N-Gage.

In short, no it doesn't make the console better. Ps2 could have outsold the dreamcast by a even wider margin and i'd still say the Dreamcast was a better console. Took more chances, had more diversity in games and so on. This "sales" bulls**t is pretty moot. In hindsite no one will really talk about the sales of Ps3 vs 360 vs Wii. We'll only look back on the games and features of each respective console.
It is sad that, that's how Uncharted got treated. I read alot of reviews for it. And while most of them said it was a good game they made it seem like it wasn't really that good. Like they were "throwing them a bone" sort to speak. In fact i wasn't going to buy Uncharted in 2007. I was going to go for Kane and Lynch. I wouldn't call Uncharted a replacement for Tomb Raider. It has a better story, better character depth and better action. Because it's a action adventure game that isn't leaning more towards hack and slash or 3rd person shooter doesn't mean it's a "replacement". Tomb Raider games have always been mediocre to me. While Uncharted is my favorite game of this gen.

And trust me dude, my expectations for Killzone 2 is sill tampered. I don't expect it to be great, i just expect it to be a pretty good game. Not bad, not great. But pretty good. Now if it ends up being better, more power to it. If it ends up being a little less than i expected, i won't feel to bad. I'm looking forward to it's multiplayer the most. I love me some class based online games.
Everyone wanted to disagree with me when i said Sony should have a Killzone 2 Superbowl ad. "You don't need to spend 3 million dollars to get people excited about your product". Thing is i'm going to college for marketing, a superbowl ad for ANYTHING immediately raises not only customer awareness but customer interest in your product. I still haven't seen many people admit they were wrong yet. No "I was wrong about Killzone 2". Nothing to that effect yet. The majority of people were saying "Yeah it looks good but does it play good?", "It'll never meet the expectations set by e3 05", "The first one was sh**ty so what makes this one different?". So many people wrong.
I don't honestly care how Uncharted looks. Honestly i never really liked the art direction of the original Uncharted. I don't know why, it just looked too... Cartoonish while being realistic models. I just didn't like that look. But the gameplay and story are superb. I expect the same level of awesome in Uncharted 2. That and improved animations (the animations were to die for).
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune still remains my favorite game this gen.

Yeah i noticed it will be a little less new IP's this year. But i'm still definitely going to be buying Bayonetta, Brutal Legend, Heavy Rain and Infamous. Who knows what other gem might come out this year as well.
But i'am looking forward to Killzone 2, SF4, Uncharted 2 (most anticipated) and Ass Creed 2. I know i'm missing some titles.
I agree with you. The boss fights in MGS4 were missing their Kojima charm. Except the last boss fight and Laughing Octopus all of them well technically solid, failed to captivate me like previous fights.
The boss is good but it's hard to top Big Boss and Shalashaska.
I guess love really can bloom on the (console war) battlefield.
Most people can't even name 5 (modern) good games with Co Op.
